Lama Tsong Khapa

In the 14th century the Gelugpa ("The Virtuous") order was founded by Lama Tsong Khapa (1357-1419), the last great thinker of the Buddhist world. He was a great reformer who continued Atisha's work, insisting on observing moral precepts and monastic rules.

His Holiness The XIV Dalai Lama

His Holiness is considered one of the greatest spiritual figures of our time. In 1989 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Universally recognized as a great Buddhist teacher, he is revered as the manifestation of compassion, the reincarnation of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of compassion. As a Buddhist monk of the Gelupa order, statesman, champion of human values, long doomed to nonviolence, and tireless speaker of peace, it is this quality of compassion that has characterized his life and work.

Venerable Kyabje Thubten Zopa Rinpoche

He is currently the Spiritual Director of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT). He was born in 1946 in Thami, a town in the Khumbu region, Nepal. At the age of 3 he was recognized as the reincarnation of the Nyingma yogi, Kunsang Yeshe, better known as Lawudo Lama. A great meditator and teacher of the complete teachings who lived the last 20 years of his life in the cave of the same region. Lama Zopa travels the world extensively giving teachings.

HE Kyabje Ling Rinpoche

Ling Rinpoche was born in McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, India, on November 18, 1985. In 1987, His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama recognized him as the reincarnation of the Sixth Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche (1903 - 1983), who was your most important guardian.
The Sixth Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche was His Holiness's primary teacher and spiritual advisor throughout his life, accompanying him when he fled Tibet into exile in India in 1959. His Holiness refers to him as "my Root Guru."
Kyabje Ling Rinpoche received in November 2016 the title of Geshe Lharampa at the Drepung Loseling Monastic University of South India. Later he entered Gyuto Tantric College in Dharamsala and spent the following year there to complete the tantric studies traditionally followed upon completion of the Geshe Lharampa degree.
He completed his studies at Gyuto Monastery in February 2018.

Venerable Thubten Kundrol

Venerable Thubten Kundrol is a Tibetan Buddhist nun (born in Argentina) ordained in the Gelugpa tradition. He first discovered Theravada Buddhism and then the Zen and Tibetan traditions while living in Japan. Later, he took monastic vows from his teacher Lama Zopa Rinpoche at the Kopan Monastery in Nepal.


He has spent many years living abroad, most recently at the Lama Tsong Khapa Monastery in Italy, but he returned to Argentina a few years ago with the aim of completing the Monastery Project that started more than 19 years ago with the aim of benefiting the society.


Ven Kundrol now lives between Buenos Aires and Mendoza coordinating a small Buddhist center in Buenos Aires while trying to create the monastery.
